Your home away from home

Undergoing treatment for cancer is disruptive, especially when you must be away from your home and family. When you have to travel some distance for treatment, finding an inexpensive place to stay can be one more burden.

The House of Care, located on Geisinger's Danville campus, provides low-cost lodging for adult patients with cancer and their families. You may stay for as little time as one night to keep an early morning appointment at the medical center or as long as several weeks, if necessary, for treatment.

Nestled in a secluded wooded area of Geisinger's campus, the House of Care is a low-cost, home-away-from-home for guests who are able to care for themselves while undergoing treatment of cancer.
Accommodations include private bedrooms, community social areas, television rooms and studies. In this home-away-from home, guests may be alone in their rooms or relax in front of the fireplace with others who feel similar emotions. A complimentary shuttle bus takes our guests to and from the medical center.
